Hi everyone,
Its been so busy and we’ve not stopped giggling all week. The atmosphere in the haberdashery is great and that’s why it’s so special to me. I love to see everyone’s makes and ideas. I even had my youngest customer ever, a lovely little girl who is only 5 years old and already in to embroidery. 18 months on from opening and we still get new customers everyday, some found us on the internet, some by chance but we also have lots of recommendations, so thanks to everyone that spreads the word. 🙂
It’s an inspirational space with the vibrancy of the fabrics and yarns and upstairs we have the Sewing Studio which is light bright and airy with space for me to organise and work on my coursework, projects and idea’s. It’s a room where people come to learn new techniques and to meet like-minded people…….another reason why its my special place.
Next up fabrics – Its seems to be getting a little bit festive in the Fabric Snug…..All 100% cottons.
All ready to be made into something fab and festive.
So what have I been up to – I’m still ploughing through my City & Guilds coursework but I’ve also managed to squeeze in a little quilting time.
As you can see it still needs a lot of work but it’s getting there.
Next week – We are closed Bank Holiday Monday but back open on Tuesday and normal hours will resume. I will be sitting down with my diary to work out some more workshops dates and we are looking at organising an open day.
Thanks to everyone that has been to see us this week, all the ladies that have hired out machines and all you lovely people who have booked a workshop.
Have a fab bank holiday weekend and we will see you bright-eyed and bushy-tailed on Tuesday.
