Six weeks ago we asked for you help. The challenge was to get as many handmade decorations as we could to help decorate the children’s hospice Rainbow’s.
We had 97 decorations donated from you guys which was way over what we predicted. Paula, the head fundraiser came over to collect the decorations and she was blown away by the kindness and generosity from all for you. So both us here and at the Hospice we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone.

It’s been such a busy week here in the Haberdashery. It started when we nearly ran our of Christmas Fabric so an urgent order was made and thankfully by the next day it arrived along with some gorgeous Winnie the Pooh fabric (I couldn’t help myself)
On Tuesday we had our fabric rep over from London with his new samples, they should hopefully be arriving on Friday.
On Thursday morning we had the biggest yarn delivery we’ve ever had. So many lovely yarns restocked and 5 new shades of DK, 4 new shades of Aran and we’ve had new shades in the new seriously chunky range from Robin – it’s so soft and the colours are to die for.
So Friday was all about the towns light switch on. We stayed open til 7pm. It was such a fun day. The Children’s choir started at 11am and finished about 4pm. Town was mega busy and we we’re just in the right spot.

The bands and presenters then started and the town filled up so quickly

All in all a fab, enjoyable week but I’m absolutely pooped so I’m chilling out this weekend and putting the decorations up at home and maybe a bit of coursework.
Thanks for all you support this week, really appreciate it.
We will see you bright and early Monday morning. Have a good weekend.
